Yesterday Telligent announced the first private (or public?!) release of its new CMS called Graffiti.
Since we've been using Community Server on this site for some months but due to the large size of the site and our effort to manage it, weren't able to keep it updated, I migrated our site to Graffiti because I saw its features as something that fits into our needs. Even the number of our categories could fit into the navigation menu easily!! You see that we change the engine for the site rather than keeping it up to date!! From DotNetNuke to Community Server and now to Graffiti!
Graffiti is much simpler and easier to manage even though it's still in first Beta and needs more work to be better. I could find some errors and exceptions in the application and have passed them to Scott Watermasysk for his information.
One of very nice features of Graffiti is the ability to define some different levels of access to the site and have users with Contributor access to add content to the site to be moderated by administrators and then get published on the site. We can use this for easier cooperation with everyone who's interested to help us improve our documentation.
I'm going to find some more free time to work on open source projects and I hope that we can have the next version ready for early months of 2008.
